day five: or RODARTE
Checking out the entire collection here is a necessity, but here a few of the most drool-worthy looks from Rodarte. I think this show is astounding and I can't even imagine what it would be like to see these pieces in person, especially on this dramatic runway.

day three and four
I skipped yesterday due to busy-ness, but my favorite of the day was certainly Derek Lam. Bright, simply and ladylike, his collection was full of pieces I'd kill to wear. Or, you know, just touch for a little while? The blue shorts look so soft and cool!
Today, we had Tracy Reese, a usual favorite of mine. I LOVE the sheer black sash on this first look. Obviously impractical, but works so well on the runway.

day two continued
Pictures of some of my most highly-anticipated shows popped up this morning, so I must document my favorites here.
First up, we have Erin Wasson x RVCA. I was expecting a lot here because I loved her first collection for the skate/surf brand in all it's grunged-out glory. However, I was a little let down by how hippy-flowy everything was in her spring collection.
Obviously I love the boyfriend blazer look in appropriately spring-like colors. Gray seems to be big for Spring 2010.
Again, love the grungy, oversized skateboarder look, especially when it involves black and white stripes.
I think this loose, but not too flowy white dress is my personal fave of the collection.
Cynthia Rowley's spring dresses were incredibly gorgeous and wearable. A sampling:
I couldn't help but picture Michelle Obama wearing this last one. So ladylike!
Finally, we have my favorite so far, pieces of which we'll almost certainly see on Mrs. Obama come spring, is Jason Wu. My highlights need no pointless commentary from me, so just look, enjoy, and try not to drool on your keyboard:

nyfw day one
I'm hoping to be disciplined about chronicling this year's New York Fashion Week. Right now, I'm seriously wishing I was at Fashion's Night Out, fighting the crowds at Barney's to get an Olsen-served cocktail or having a purchase rung up at rag and bone by Jessica Stam, but alas, I'm stuck here in Philly watching the runway shows from my laptop.
My runway pick for today is this saucy, sheer number from BCBG Max Azria.
